Flights to Stockholm Buy

Stockholm was established in 1252 as a fortified defence outpost against Baltic pirates. Which is a little bit ironic, as today it's just a short flight away from Tallinn, and other Baltic capitals.

Stockholm is sometimes referred to as 'The World's Smallest Big City’. A lot of the city is on water as the city is located across 14 islands, so maybe it's the separation of areas by the calming waters that's behind the nickname. At times it feels like a village, with men casually catching salmon (yes, the water is that clean) on a pier somewhere. And yet it has everything a true metropolis can offer from high culture to great shopping and dining to a busy events calendar. A true smorgasbord, if you will.

Estonian Air flies to Arlanda, the main international airport. The "Arlanda Express" train leaves every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes at other times. It takes 20 minutes to the central station of Stockholm and costs 260 Swedish Kronor (about €28). Buses are cheaper (around 120 SEK) but take a while longer, and a taxi ride would cost around 500 kronor.
