Basic and extra points
EuroBonus points can be either ‘basic points’ or ‘extra points’.
Basic points can be used for award trips and offers and towards qualifying for a higher membership level. Extra points can be used for award trips, but don’t count towards higher membership levels.
Period of validity of EuroBonus points
Points are valid for up to 5 years, and expire 4 periods after the EuroBonus period in which they were earned. For example, if you became a EuroBonus member in July, your EuroBonus period runs from July to June.
Don’t lose points!
Don’t forget to quote your EuroBonus membership number when booking tickets or checking in. It may take up to 4 weeks for the points to be credited to your account. We suggest checking your points regularly since different booking systems mean the points you earn may sometimes not be credited to your account. You should retain your original boarding pass and ticket so that SAS EuroBonus Member Service can credit your account with any missing points.
Points can also be registered after the trip
If you forgot to enter your EuroBonus membership number when buying your e-ticket or to present your membership card at check-in – don’t worry. You can register your points up to six months after the activity took place, provided you submit your original travel documents and are still a EuroBonus member. Please retain your original boarding pass and ticket so you can register any missing points. To claim missing points, please contact your local SAS EuroBonus Member Service.
