In addition to the fireworks competition in Herrenhäuser Gärten, the skies are painted bright during the Kleines Fest im Großen Garten (The Small Festival in the Great Garden) as well as the Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival), the world largest Schützenfest (Marksmen's Fairs) and Oktoberfest. One of the highlights of the summer festival season in Hannover is the Maschsee Lake Festival. All around the lake, over a million visitors each year are treated to performing arts for all ages, culinary delights and music. Yes, they have a -fest for every season!

Airport to city center transport

A S-Bahn train to the Hauptbahnhof central station leaves every 30 minutes, costs around 5 € and takes about 17 minutes. A taxi ride will set you back about 20 €.

Estonian Air will distribute tickets free of charge to visit HANNOVER MESSE 2012. Each complimentary ticket is valid for one day and also includes a ticket for the tram within Hannover.
